Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency is the foundation of everything we do. Here’s how we fund our independent reviews.
How MavenLus Makes Money
MavenLus is reader-supported. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help us buy products to test, maintain our testing lab, and keep our content free for everyone.
We participate in several affiliate programs, including but not limited to:
- Amazon Associates Program
- Impact Radius affiliate partnerships
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction)
- Awin affiliate network
- Rakuten Advertising
- Shopify Collabs
- Individual brand affiliate programs
Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate partnerships never influence our reviews, ratings, or recommendations. Every product on MavenLus is evaluated using the same standardized methodology regardless of whether we earn a commission from it.
Here’s what this means in practice:
- We buy products at retail price. We don’t accept free review units from brands. We purchase every product ourselves, just like you would.
- Scores are based on merit alone. Our 10-point rating system evaluates performance, build quality, value, and user experience — not affiliate payout rates.
- We recommend against products too. If a product doesn’t meet our standards, we’ll say so — even if we could earn a commission from it.
- No paid placements. Brands cannot pay for a higher ranking, featured position, or favorable review on MavenLus.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Links that may generate a commission for MavenLus are clearly marked throughout our content. When you see a link to a retailer (such as Amazon, Best Buy, or a brand’s website) within our reviews or buying guides, assume it may be an affiliate link.
You are never obligated to use our links. If you prefer, you can navigate directly to the retailer’s website to make your purchase.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We believe in full transparency about our business relationships and are committed to honest, unbiased product journalism.
